Actors Are Created, Stars Are Born : Moutho

Stars are born while Actors have to put-in their efforts to place themselves firm in this tough competition of Bollywood. This was said today by Roshi Mahanta of the movie Khalnayak, Pramod Moutho.

He was interacting with the media today while he is on a visit to Udaipur for an Acting Workshop conducted by The Managers, Nadbrahma, Karmashram, Aashray and Pacific University.

Started his career as a Theatre artist, Moutho migrated to Bollywood in 1989. He said there are many stars and many actors in the industry without naming any, as he don’t want to put himself in any sort of controversy. Adding to it, he said that all know who has established himself in this industry with his own efforts and who is here just because of a Godfather.

Other than the famous role of Roshi Mahanta in Khalnayak, he is also recognized for his Maha Mantri Shaktar role in the famous telly series Chanakya. He has also played important roles in Raja Hindustani, Dilwale, Diljale, Qayamat, Mafia, Officer, Jodha-Akbar which have attracted one and all.

On being a Theatre artist but migrated to Bollywood question, he said that Theatre couldn’t have provided me all the name and fame as Bollywood has. Life is all about struggle. Struggle is not only for a beginner but to maintain the dignity of the position you have already achieved is also a struggle. For a star, its a struggle to maintain his stardom. Film industry only salutes you when you are at the top. No one tries to be with you when you are down.

When he was asked about choosing only the Negative roles, he straight forward answered that you don’t have your own choice in this industry, you have to only accept what is being provided to you.

Talking about the workshop and the students, he said that you might not know today but there might be a future Shahrukh or Aishwarya sitting in between us.

For Udaipur he said that this is his second trip after a movie shot earlier in Lake Palace. He loved the beauty of our city and can plan to buy a house here. He said that he would love  to come again for any such workshop and can do a movie for the welfare of the acting aspirants of Udaipur. Shivraj Sonwal, Deepak Dixit, Bhupesh Pandya (Vicky Donor fame) and Hemant Menaria were present in the Press Conference.
